To the delight of children and young railroad enthusiasts in-the-making, it’s All Aboard for Story Time! with Rob Stewart of “Rob On the Road” on Monday, August 29, 2016. Beginning at 11 a.m., Rob will read the illustrated children’s book Owney, the Mail-Pouch Pooch by Mona Kerby. Aside from being a celebrity guest Story Time! reader for the Railroad Museum this month, Rob Stewart entertains KVIE viewers with weekly travel stories that capture Northern California’s spectacular beauty, rich history, and fascinating people and places.

The All Aboard for Story Time! reading program – first introduced in 2014 by California State Parks and the California State Railroad Museum & Foundation – has expanded to a weekly offering every Monday morning at 11 a.m. year-round. Through this interactive and fun program, parents are encouraged to let trains and railroading introduce and foster the love of reading with their imaginative young children ages two to five. Different railroad-related books are showcased each month during Story Time! after which children and parents are encouraged to enjoy exploring the Museum. Whether it’s toy trains or big locomotives, there is something to discover in the Museum – North America’s most popular railroad museum -- that will thrill children (and adults) of all ages.
