SACRAMENTO, Calif. – It’s all aboard for a very special story time with ABC10’s Anchor/Reporter Mark S. Allen – who has been honored with three prestigious Emmy Awards -- on Monday, November 7, 2016. Beginning at 11 a.m., the popular TV personality will read the illustrated children’s book Pancake Express by Brandon James Scott. Afterward, Mark S. Allen will sign copies of the recently released 100 Things To Do in Sacramento Before You Die travel book published by Reedy Press that he compiled and authored. The new book highlights the California State Railroad Museum (along with many other destinations in Old Sacramento State Historic Park) and is available for purchase in the Museum store.
The All Aboard for Story Time! reading program -- first introduced in 2014 by California State Parks and the California State Railroad Museum & Foundation – is offered every Monday morning at 11 a.m. year-round with periodic celebrity readers. Different railroad-related books are showcased each month during Story Time! after which children and parents are encouraged to enjoy exploring the Museum. Whether it’s toy trains or big locomotives, there is something to discover in the Museum – North America’s most popular railroad museum -- that will thrill children (and adults) of all ages.
The All Aboard for Story Time! program is included with Museum admission: $10 adults; $5 youths ages 6-17; free for children ages 5 and under. For more information about the reading program or the California State Railroad Museum in general, please call 916-323-9280.
