SACRAMENTO, Calif. – To the delight of children of all ages, it’s all aboard for a special story time
with popular “Good Day” news anchor Ken Rudulph on Monday, September 21, 2015. With the
help of Ken reading the illustrated children’s book The Last Train by Gordon Titcomb at 11 a.m.
and 11:30 a.m., parents are encouraged to let trains and railroading introduce and foster the love
of reading with young children.
This ongoing All Aboard for Story Time! reading program, introduced in 2014 by California State
Parks and the California State Railroad Museum, is offered on the first and third Monday of each
month. The interactive and fun program is designed for imaginative young children ages two to
five. A different railroad-related book is showcased each month -- with four opportunities for little
ones to hear the monthly story, then enjoy the Museum with their parents. Whether it’s toy trains
or big locomotives, there is something to discover in the Museum – North America’s most popular
rail museum -- that will thrill children (and adults) of all ages.
The All Aboard for Story Time! program is included with Museum admission: $10 adults; $5 youths
ages 6-17; free for children ages 5 and under. For more information about the reading program or
the Railroad Museum in general, call 916-323-9280 or visit www.csrmf.org
