SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Timed to coincide with Photography Month Sacramento happening during the month of April, California State Parks and the California State Railroad Museum & Foundation are proud to offer a two-part Trains & Tripods live learning photography seminar and workshop on Friday evening, April 20 and Saturday morning, April 21, 2018. The unique program starts with a fast-paced and information-packed seminar about existing light photography on Friday evening from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. that will be conducted by Canon Live Learning Instructor Dave Henry. Then on Saturday morning, a photographers-only, bring-your-own-tripod photo workshop will take place inside the visually-enticing museum from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Experienced photographers know the difficulties of shooting in a typical museum setting with crowds, lighting issues and confined conditions. This will not be the case at this special Canon Live Learning workshop when attendees have the entire Museum at their disposal before regular business hours. The group will also be able to set up and use tripods along with multiple Speedlite flashes if desired. In fact, there will be numerous Canon cameras, lenses and Speedlite flashes available for loan during this unique workshop experience.
To participate in the Trains & Tripods live learning activities, the cost is $75 per person and includes both the seminar and workshop. Space is limited to 50 participants and advance registration for Trains & Tripods is required. All photographers are required to sign a release of liability/not for commercial use waiver. To register online, interested photographers can visit www.californiarailroad.museum/. For general questions about the California State Railroad Museum or Foundation, please call 916-323-9280.
