Chessie The Railroad Kitten (Revised Edition)
Before going out of print, the original edition of this book was always a best seller for us. The book is still the same dimensions as the first edition, but it has a completely new layout and design using color throughout.
Chessie was an advertising icon for the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad, suggesting that you would sleep like a kitten on their trains.
Overall the whole story of Chessie is told from 1933 up to the present, but it is in a much more pleasing appearance. Also, several new features have been added bringing the story up to 2025. Likewise, a larger attention has been given to the “classic” era of Chessie advertising in the 1930s.
The story of Chessie is one of the enduring and endearing aspects of railroading and of the C&O.
