Owney loved riding in the Railway Mail Service cars.
He traveled from train to train, always finding his way back to his favorite place in Albany, New York.
The postal workers adored having him along. They believed he was their good‑luck dog, and each time Owney visited a new place, they added a badge or tag to his collar to mark his travels. Over time, he collected hundreds of them!
This is the museum’s interpretation of Owney, the famous Railway Postal Dog. The plush dog is 8" and exclusively ours!
