The Lucius M. Beebe & Charles M. Clegg, Jr. Collection
Lucius Beebe and Charles Clegg were California writers, photographers and public personalities who photographed and wrote about railroads throughout California and North America. Together, they helped vitalize the railfan movement in North America and are considered to be pioneers of railroad photography. Charles's sister, Ann Clegg Holloway, gifted a collection of Beebe and Clegg’s photographs and papers to the California State Railroad Museum Library & Archives.
